DVDSoon go bust and cancel all refunds - I officially hate DVDSoon
Published December 9th, 2005 in PersonalA customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependant on us – we are dependent on him
Some of you may remember my post about my troubles with DVDSoon. They have now gone bust so anyone that was waiting on a refund has lost their cash. That’s €50 that I could have used this Christmas. Here’s a copy of the email they sent me:
Dear Client;
It is with a lot of regret and sadness that we must announce the closure of the company 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc who managed the operations of
DVDSoon.com.The assets of DVDSoon.com have been taken by Canadian
Distribution Services which means the site will remain open and all activities will be maintained. Therefore all pending orders will be honored.Unfortunately all operations that were suspended and were the
responsibility of 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc will not be honored. These operations include credits, refunds, replacement requests, and Fidelity iPoints.If you wish to obtain more information please send your questions to:
9086 - 8316 Québec Inc.

J4B 7Z2We thank you for your support and your comprehension.
The Administration,
Yes, you read that correctly. The company has gone bust and won’t offer refunds, but the site will continue to trade!
Some words of warning for anyone who is tempted to order from what was once one of the best online retailers - Avoid any disappointment this Christmas and don’t order from DVDSoon. Ihope the Consumerist does a story about them!
Just Google DVDSoon and you can see that results are returned with complaints on the first page. My initial post is on the third page of results. It’ll be interesting to see what impact today’s email will have on their search results.
